Job Description: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. Build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe. Operate real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud. Decompose monolithic Rails app into microservices. Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems. Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of customers. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineering-related occupation.Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills: 1. Composing service-oriented architectures; 2. Designing complex systems, building data structures algorithms, and program and computer structures; 3. Service observability and monitoring platforms in Datadog; 4. Database and in memory cache optimizations and handling scaling issues; 5. Testing applications and systems at different levels, including unit tests, integration tests, functional tests, smoke tests, and load tests; and 6. Query languages including SQL and stored procedures along with query processing including joins, sorting, aggregation, and optimization.Employment and background checks may be required.
