Responsible for maintaining facility compliance with Joint Commission/ CMS, State and Federal regulatory agencies. Responsible to assist the Director of Nursing in the development and implementation of a hospital wide Quality Improvement Program and Performance Improvement activities. Also includes the responsibility for the development, implementation and management of the Quality Program Activities to include Patient Safety and Risk Management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree. Registered Nurse License. A minimum of 3 years of experience. Employer conducts Drug Testing/Screening, Background Checks, and Reference Checks.

**Responsibilities:**

Establish hospital plans, policies and procedures regarding Quality Improvement/Patient Safety and Risk Management and approves through the director of Nursing.

Responsible for the provision, orientation and training of staff members on Performance Improvement initiatives hospital wide.

Performs Performance Improvement activities as designated by Supervisor, including chart review, data collection and analysis to include conclusions and recommendations.

Communicates Quality Program findings to the Supervisor.

Assists with the communication of new policies and procedures to staff.

Attends Performance Improvement Team Committee meetings.

Provides support services for all Performance Improvement activities and reviews.

Provides information and standards to Supervisors in the following areas:

Assist other departments in formalizing work groups to investigate problems, determine action and prepare required reports as necessary.

Assures quality/patient safety reports are completed monthly and submitted to the Director of Nursing.Performs all other quality related tasks as requested by the Director of Nursing.
