Job Description: Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices. Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang. Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them. Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills:1\. Designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services;2\. Composing service oriented architectures;3\. Data structures, algorithms, and concurrent computing for systems-level performance optimization;4\. Decomposing a large software monolith into small microservices;5\. Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or Redshift;6\. Designing fault tolerant distributed software systems; and7\.
