Tax Supervisor (Flushing, NY)1\. Responsible for preparing the most technically demanding returns, including multi-state corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth individual filings that entry-level staff cannot handle.2\. Performs a detailed review of simpler tax returns prepared by junior staff or interns, providing "review points" and constructive feedback.3\. Conducts in-depth research on complex tax laws and regulations using professional databases; drafts technical tax memos and assists in developing client tax-saving strategies.4\. Serves as a primary point of contact for smaller clients and assists partners/managers in larger client meetings to discuss tax implications and business objectives.5\. Analyzes IRS and state tax notices, drafts formal responses, and may assist in representing clients during tax audits.6\. Monitors team workflows, manages project deadlines, and ensures engagements stay within the budgeted hours.Requires: Bachelors in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance (only if the candidates transcript shows heavy accounting coursework) and 3 years experience as in an accounting or tax role. Experience must include: prep & review of federal & multi-state corp & partnership tax returns; management of payroll tax compliance for multi-state entities; & advanced use of tax compliance software & Excel for data reconciliation. $121,722/yr.
