Mandarin Chinese Head Teacher (Kindergarten)
Bilingual Buds NYC Inc DBA Hudsonway Immersion School — New York, NY

Teach Kindergarten in a serious but fun &amp; interactive way to meet or exceed established standards in a Mandarin immersion school environment. Use simplified Chinese characters &amp; Pinyin based curriculum &amp; second language assessment tools. Prepare curriculum in consultation with the Director &amp; Head of Bilingual Education at the school. Organize class materials for students to use. Evaluate students periodically. Comply with curriculum standards. Interact with parents &amp; provide useful feedback on their child's progress. Manage classroom activities so that children are safe at all times. Deal effectively with childhood behavioral problems in consultation with the school's Director. Attend required teacher training &amp; professional development conferences as well as school field trips &amp; Open House events. Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese &amp; English. Reqs Bachelors degree in either Early Childhhod Education, Elementary Education or Foreign Language Education + 1 yr of experience as a Mandarin Chinese Teacher at the Pre-K or Kindergarten level.
