Job Description: Lead the end-to-end delivery of large features, systems, and projects. Delegate project tasks and phases to team members. Own and lead project strategy and technical direction. Direct cross-team collaboration to align contributors on expectations and ensure successful execution. Own and define the technical approach for building systems, and direct team members in its implementation. Lead the development of technical design documents (TDDs), propose solutions to anticipated challenges (P/PS), lead design reviews, and own tradeoff decisions to balance technical and business needs. Own and lead the resolution of high-severity bugs and incidents within my teams service. Lead postmortems to identify root causes, direct the implementation of fixes, and prevent recurrence. Lead the implementation of improvements to enhance the reliability and scalability of systems. Mentor and onboard new engineers, providing guidance on best practices and team processes. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills:1\. Concurrent and parallel programming in Go;2\. Designing fault tolerant distributed software systems using temporal workflows for distributed workflow orchestration;3\. Performance and load testing of software and hardware infrastructure;4\. Building growth experiments or A/B tests;5\. gRPC and Protocol Buffers for service communication;6\. Building trading products for institutional or retail businesses using Blockchain protocols, smart contracts, Web3 technologies, and wallet infrastructure;7\. Fast prototyping, scripting languages, including: Bash, SQL, Perl, AWK, or Python;8\. Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and deployment;9\. Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and deployment;10\. Observability and operations tools including Datadog, logging, metrics, tracing, and CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.Employment and background checks may be required.
