Project Engineer Steven Dubner Landscaping Inc. — Westbury, NY Estimate and prepare bids by analyzing blueprints and specifications. Pro-actively identify discrepancies and issue RFI to designteams to ensure clarity and alignment on project details. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to compile comprehensivecost proposals. Utilize construction estimating software like PlanSwift, and HCSS HeavyBid. Attend bid walk-through, scopereview meetings, and participate in contract negotiations. Collaborate with project management to transition awarded projectsfrom Estimating to the Project Team and manage the buyout of major subcontractors and vendors. Coordinate with projectmanagers, site foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and pro-actively mitigate potential scheduledelays. Work with owners, construction managers, architects, and engineers to evaluate value engineering options, ensuringprojects are delivered on time and within budget.
